Vineyard protection in Organic Viticulture

Are you wondering whether inputs are allowed in organic farming?

Here's an overview of what you should know:

The use of synthetic chemical products is prohibited. Only phyto-pharmaceutical treatment products of natural origin, authorized by European regulations and approved by ANSES, may be used in the event of a proven threat, notably mildew.

To avoid crop damage, prevention is at the heart of organic farming practices, which is why we give priority to :

- Specially selected vine varieties

- Specific cultivation techniques

- Mechanical weed control techniques (tillage, mulching, thermal weeding, solarization)

- Biological alternatives to prevent harmful organisms (micro-organisms, fungi, bio-preparation)

- Preventive or curative treatments as a last resort (Copper-type minerals, biostimulants, natural preparations, purins, essential oils, auxiliaries).
